Ok..here's the story, last Sunday I went to my stepmum's house and discovered the material among others in her store room.
I cannot put a name to it but I can describe it as..very light, almost waterproof, very durable.
So I thought this sort of material will make great shopping bags mainly because it can be folded and take little space in the handbag. Keep it handy and anytime you make an unplanned shopping spree...there you have an extra bag to carry your goodies.
I brought home meters of the same design and others as shown below. If you are interested to buy, it is RM10 per meter excluding postage.
One meter of material can make 2 shopping bags.

NO 4 is the one which I have sewn into a bag.
Extra info : NO1, NO2 and NO4 are of same type of material ...which I still do not know what to call it :) NO3 is a little bit thicker.
All material imported from South Korea.
